The 2022 Nightster™

The Motorco describes the 2022 Nightster™ as “the next chapter in the Harley-Davidson Sportster® legacy.” I think that’s pretty accurate in the grand scheme of things. If you take a quick glance, the classic Sportster silhouette immediately jumps out at you. But the familiar lines are surrounding what amounts to be a giant leap forward in performance.

At the center of it all is the awesome Liquid Cooled Revolution® Max 975T that delivers 70 ft-lb of torque at 5,000 RPM and a whopping 90 horsepower. All of this on a new powertrain/frame design that offers a running order weight of only 481 pounds. It will go!

But it’s not just about speed. Lean angle is a nice 32 degrees to either side and with the engine fuel cell under the seat and low (yeah... what you think is the tank is actually the air box)  enhances performance and improves rider confidence.

And the 2022 Nightster™ has all the modern conveniences too. Selectable ride modes electronically control the motorcycle’s performance to better match the road conditions or experience you want. Select from Road Mode, Rain Mode or Sport Mode and the system works by adjusting power delivery, engine braking, ABS and TCS settings to each specific mode.

The 4” analog instrument cluster features a segmented LCD screen and shows Odometer, Trip A/B, Gear Position Indicator, Fuel Range, Clock, Tachometer, Fuel Level and Ride Mode Indication.

I’m a lifelong Sportster® fan and I have to say that In my opinion... the 2022 Nightster™ is taking Sportster® to a new and welcome level! The classic looks are thankfully still in tact but the performance is at a whole new level. What more could you ask for?
