2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra near Mount Pleasant, TN

Two riders cruising on a 2025 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra through wooded hills near Mount Pleasant, TN

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra continues to serve as the company’s dedicated three-wheel touring model, designed for long-distance riding and stability. It integrates the core touring framework from the brand’s two-wheel lineup with added structural changes specific to the trike platform. This model provides full touring capability, a comprehensive storage setup, and several factory-installed systems aimed at supporting long-haul performance and safety. It remains consistent in its mission to offer a stable, utility-focused ride without compromising core mechanical strength.

Trike-Specific Touring Configuration

The frame design of the 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra supports its two-rear-wheel architecture. The standard rear trunk integrates directly into the trike’s chassis and offers a waterproof, locking space. Above it, the King Tour-Pak® luggage carrier includes a lined interior and built-in lighting, creating accessible vertical storage that does not interfere with rear visibility or passenger space. Total available storage capacity reaches 6.8 cubic feet.

The rear end integrates with dual 18-inch wheels, while the front features a 19-inch cast aluminum wheel. These wheels come in gloss black, supporting the new Black Trim option.

Body Panels, Paint, and Weather Protection

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra uses a full Batwing fairing designed to deflect wind and reduce fatigue during long hours on the road. A tall windshield is included, paired with lower fairings that wrap around the engine guard. The windshield is non-adjustable but shaped to limit head buffeting at higher speeds.

This model includes multiple paint options. These include standard colorways such as Billiard Gray and Vivid Black, along with multi-tone selections like Whiskey Fire/Vivid Black and Iron Horse Metallic/Vivid Black. Mystic Shift, a Harley-Davidson® Factory Custom Paint option, changes color in direct sunlight, moving through hues that include gunmetal, purple, and burnt orange.

Trim levels differ primarily in appearance. The Chrome Trim uses bright finishes across the engine, wheels, and tank trim, while the Black Trim features blacked-out components, including the powertrain casing, wheel spokes, exhaust guards, and badging.

Milwaukee-Eight® 114 Powertrain

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. This air-cooled V-twin delivers 120 foot-pounds of torque. The powerband is tuned for consistent acceleration at low RPMs. The engine uses electronic sequential port fuel injection and dual counter-balancers for vibration control.

The six-speed Cruise Drive® transmission maintains engine RPM at a manageable range during highway speeds. Gear transitions remain steady under load, and the gear ratios are calibrated for a balance between off-the-line responsiveness and fuel-efficient cruising.

Suspension Configuration

The front suspension uses a dual bending valve fork system, which adjusts compression and rebound damping. At the rear, the trike features an emulsion shock absorber system with a single external preload adjustment knob. This manual adjustment allows the rider to account for changes in load, including cargo and passenger weight, without requiring disassembly or additional tools.

Electronic Rider Support Systems

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra is equipped with the full suite of Harley-Davidson® Rider Safety Enhancements. These electronic systems include a non-cornering Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Linked Braking (ELB), and Traction Control System (TCS). The ABS maintains wheel rotation under hard braking in a straight line. ELB distributes braking force between the front and rear systems based on rider input.

Cornering-enhanced versions of these systems are included. Cornering-Enhanced ABS (C-ABS) adjusts brake pressure based on lateral acceleration, accounting for trike body roll rather than lean angle. Cornering-Enhanced ELB (C-ELB) modifies front-to-rear brake force distribution when the trike is turning. Cornering-Enhanced TCS (C-TCS) monitors rear-wheel spin during acceleration and adjusts torque delivery accordingly.

Additional features include the Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS), which reduces rear-wheel slip during abrupt deceleration or downshifting. DSCS helps prevent loss of traction when engine braking forces the wheel to lock, especially on wet or uneven pavement.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra uses the Boom! Box GTS infotainment system with a 6.5-inch full-color touchscreen. The screen displays GPS navigation, Bluetooth® media control, and system settings. Riders can manage audio, phone connectivity, and safety settings through the interface. The layout uses physical buttons surrounding the screen for redundancy during gloved operation.

Four 25-watt speakers provide the onboard audio output. Two are mounted in the front fairing, and two are integrated into the rear passenger armrests. These speakers support audio from wired media inputs, Bluetooth® streaming, and satellite radio.

The infotainment system also provides access to tuning options for the safety systems, including adjustment of traction control behavior and brake assistance sensitivity.

Reverse Function

An electric reverse drive is standard equipment on the 2025 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra. This motorized system engages through a handlebar control and drives the rear wheels in reverse without using the primary transmission. It operates independently of the main engine, requiring only electrical power.

Lighting and Visibility

The front lighting system includes an LED headlamp flanked by two LED fog lamps. Rear lighting includes integrated LED brake lights, turn signals, and a license plate lamp. Lighting hardware meets visibility requirements for both urban and highway use. The LED system reduces power draw and maintains stable performance in varying temperatures.

The elevated rear Tour-Pak® carrier incorporates high-mounted tail lighting, which increases visibility from behind.

Passenger Seating and Ergonomics

The passenger seating area includes a wide pillion seat, fixed backrest, and integrated armrests. The seat uses dense foam and a contoured shape to reduce fatigue. The armrests contain cutouts to accommodate the rear speaker housings. Footboards and passenger grab rails are included.

Grip texture and control spacing are designed for use with gloves. Control switches are large and tactile. The instrument cluster features analog speedometer and tachometer gauges flanking a central digital display, which shows fuel level, odometer, trip meters, and system alerts.
